It’s, uh, gonna take some time before I’m fully comfortable at speed. Also turns out that it tops out slightly above 30 with my fat ass. Once I reach the limit of what second gear can give me I shift and then there’s just not enough grunt in third to do anything but maintain speed.

I still can’t register it. I’m tempted to do the Vermont trick to get a plate BUT Massachusetts just announced a more or less final reopening plan. There’s a chance the RMV will be open soon, so in that case I’m happy to wait a bit and get it registered the proper way.

I saw a very pretty light green Vespa the other day. Looked like it was brand new. My wife spotted it first and commented on it. I told her I guessed that with the shipping charge, the thing was probably like $3500.

[EDIT] More like $4500. I just looked it up. That is ridiculous and please steal it from me.

Classic Vespas and be had raw or unrestored for under $ 4000. [I have two now] Just beware of the Vietnamese classics...usually two tone  fr ank enbikes with welded frames.

I’ve never even spent that much on a car.

The new Super Cubs are supposed to be a hair over $3,500 but they’ve reportedly been being s old at upwards of $4,500 at some dealers.

It’s funny, you sort of expect scoots to be like that sort of  poor mans motorcycle. I n reality though, new s coots are not cheap for what they are.
